Islam is in a constant state of holy war. Almost everything we do in the West could be interpreted as insulting to Islam by some bearded imam. And whenever a particularly insulting story airs, panties on heads, koran in the toilet, Islam is just waiting for that, hoping for that. Just looking for an excuse to fire up the chanting mobs (who have only read one book) and attack something.

Muslim's do not need to penetrate and infiltrate the U.S.
They have Newsweek, the NYT headlining Abu Ghraib on page one over thirty times, Ted Kennedy celebrating the Abu Ghraib anniversary, along with the MSM echoing stories of their recognized and accepted liberal elites.
Afghanistan faces attacks as a direct result of superficial Newsweek reporting, whereas The NYT and Ted Kennedy pursued distinct tear down intentions.
Tear down of whom?
Think, the answer is clear and at hand.
Look who gets attacked in Afghanistan and Iraq and who gets hurt.
Got it?
Yes, people dying is part of their blame game.
Again, for those it just remains their blame game.

We really need to be slaughtering these savages by the tens of millions. The only language they understand is naked, brute force.
They want to die for their filthy moon god? Good. There's something we have in common.

You are right. What can I say. I felt the same anger when the same type of people did exactly the same thing vis a vis Vietnam.

We really need to be slaughtering these savages by the tens of millions. Exactly. Newsweek's done us a favor by showing that the only good Islamunist is a dead Islamunist. We can't possibly live under the mistaken impression that they can be reasoned with in any way.

what has gone un-noticed on this thread is that HERE WE GO AGAIN....while Christianity is under assault from every quarter imaginable, WE ARE DEFERRING AGAIN TO THIS EVIL "RELIGION" CALLED ISLAM....
To: verity
And a lovely word it is. Lets make this one so that not only will they remember it 1000 years later but fear its very mention.

Top administration officials have promised to continue looking into the charges, and so will we. I am sure top administration officials have more important things to do than "look into" your phony charges! YOU, Newsweek, should have "looked into" them before you printed them. Is Dan Blather your new consultant?
But we regret that we got any part of our story wrong, and extend our sympathies to victims of the violence and to the U.S. soldiers caught in its midst.
You REGRET...REGRET?? This is neither an apology or acceptable. I suggest the "VICTIMS" of the violence and the U.S. soldiers caught in its midst sue NEWSWEEK for every penny they have rendering them to the ash heap of history. I suggest the individuals responsible for the story have the book thrown at them. I, I, I'm speechless.
WHERE'S THE OUTRAGE????

Shouldn't there be a commission which censors news when it comes to news about the ARMY. Imagine what the soldiers in Iraq will be feeling
we are getting our asses bombed and these people can't stop spreading lies about us

I would not be in favor of such a commission before the fact...what we need is a hard criminal investigation and punishment after the fact each time it occurs and seomthing like this happens. For example, Dan Rather and those involved in that story should be rotting in jail for fraudulently trying to influence a US presidential election.
The people involved in this story should be in jail for criminal wrecklessness and negligent homicide or manslaughter.
If we did that, the press would tighten up and not go anywhere near such stories until they were thoroughly vetted, documented and shown to be actual news as opposed to these fabrications.
