The fact of the matter is that Bush isn't a dictator, robbing people of liberty. Anyone with half a brain--hell, a quarter of a brain--can understand what he's doing is protecting liberty.
Of course I wouldn't expect the Hollywood elitists or the LameStream Press to recognize it--they've been running 'round in self-applauding circles for years. But generally, I believe, the average American gets it.
So I intend to enjoy Star Wars and the story it tells.
The left has been claiming that Bush=Hitler for years now, don't see why they wouldn't take the opportunity to claim that Bush=Vader now (especially because children have a better understanding of who Darth Vader is than they do Adolph Hitler).
And why does Medved care? (oh wait I know...he needs excuses to keep himself relevant) Bush won his 2nd term, for pete's sake, who cares what the left thinks about him.
I've posted it before and will keep posting it: Liberal writers have used science fiction to bash conservatives since the Mcarthy era!
dang, there you go again, raising the bar to impossible levels which most DUers and Senate Dimp-o-crats can't possibly reach...
I had the pleasure of meeting and working with George Lucas back in 1986 a couple of times ... I gave him two brush-up dance lessons. He was a real gentleman, a nice person, with a wry sense of humor. He even stuck around for the practice party afterwards. It was during the Howard the Duck production period ("We're having problems with the duck."), and I was happy to see the amount of respect with which he treated me, a normal, non-Hollywood dance teacher. In a previous visit to the studio, he had brought Linda Ronstadt, and left quickly with her when she became obnoxious and embarrassed him.
The way a prominent person treats the non-prominent tells me so much about their character. He passed, she didn't.
Exactly, that's why I refer to liberalism as an "Intellectual circle-jerk"
