Remember, boxer won in the vaunted "Year of the Woman". Any woman would have won. Just like any Black actors other than Denzel or Halle would have won the Oscar in the "Black Oscars" 2 years back. (Crowe in "Beautiful Mind" was 100x better than Denzel in "Training Day")
