I don't know about you, Destro, but the only way I'm going to be happy with any "fix" in social security is if I don't have to pay into it...which isn't ever likely to happen.
I'm not a baby. On the contraire, I'm actually a semi-responsible adult when I need to be, and I don't like the idea of being broke-ass when I'm 65. I know what to do with my cash, and I'll know when I want to invest it in something...stocks or whatever.
I don't need the U.S. Government taking the cash from my pockets for the next forty years only to get stuck with an IOU and a note saying "we're sorry, but we're (and you're) broke...guess we weren't as solvent as Harry Reid thought".
That is what I am saying - we have issues - our republic is not being tended to and we are stirring up hornet's nests all over the world in order not to spread democracy (that is a crock) but to gain political influence over other nations.
