LONDON (Reuters) - A schoolgirl told a British court Thursday she was put into a laundry bag and was going to be thrown from a third-floor apartment window into a river by her mother and aunt who thought she was a witch.
Prosecutors say the girl, brought to London from Angola by a woman claiming to be her mother, had been regularly abused by members of her family after they had become convinced she was putting curses on members of her family.
The court has heard the abuse culminated in a plan by her 38-year-old "mother" and another woman, Sita Kisanga, 35, who says she is the girl's aunt, to kill her.
"They put me in a bag and said they would throw me away," the girl, sitting next to a large teddy bear, told police in a videoed interview shown to London's Old Bailey court.
"They called my uncle and they all started slapping me. They were going to throw me into water. They were going to throw me off the third floor where my auntie lived."
The girl, who can't be named for legal reasons, has already told how she was starved, beaten, cut with a knife and had chilli pepper rubbed into her eyes during months of torture.
The mother and aunt are accused of conspiracy to murder. They and two other defendants have also been charged with child cruelty.
All four deny the charges and the trial continues.
Did she weigh as much as a duck?
The mother and aunt would have actually thrown the little girl into the river had not the little girl been able to turn the two older and evil women into rats.
A man goes in to a piano store to buy a baby grand piano.
"I would like to buy a Henway", he tells the owner.
"A Henway?", asks the owner. "Don't you mean a Steinway?"
"No!" replies the man, "a Henway!"
The owner asks, "What's a Henway?"
The man replies, "About two or three pounds."
IIRC, back in the days when the dunked witches, if the woman drowned then it was proof she really wasn't a witch. However, if she floated, that meant she was a witch and they burned her at the stake. Not a lot of hope for the accused.

I just knew when I began reading the very first words of this story that these nutballs were going to be immigrants from somewhere in Africa.
There is a reason Africa is a cesspool, and one of them is because large percentages of the peoples believe in dysfunctional religions, and regularly practice unbelievable stupid and self destructive rituals and rites.
But hey, no culture or civilization is really better than another right? Living in mudhuts, raping new widows and virgins for good luck, chronic laziness, and the belief that inanimate objects are filled with spirits is all just as good as the Western Judeo-Christian way of life isn't it? I dunno, that's what the TV tells me anyway.
Longbow
Yes, and she was made of wood, too! Witch! Burn her!
I think she turned them into newts! But they got better.
Now you're catching on! :)
Take ALL the relatives 13 miles offshore, put 'em in the briny, and let God decide on 'em.
Build a bridge out of her!
It appears the mom and aunt were following the rules.
My questions:
1. How was this kid able to escape, or whatever?
2. They seem to have real doubt that the one woman is her mother, yet not any doubt that the other is her aunt. What is up with that?
An interesting thought.
The question then would be, which witch is she..
a good witch..
OR
a bad witch.
