I agree with you, and I know what side I would be on. Fortunately, I don't think that it could happen because Hillary's negative quotient is so large and immoveable. She is like Ted Kennedy or Newt Gingrich that way. So many people hate Hillary that she'd have to win an impossible percentage of the uncommitted or undecided.
Frankly, I don't know one senator that seems worth more than a cup of spit. If someone suggested a Constitutional Amendment doing away with the Senate, I'd support it.
The only pol speaking "truth to power" is Tom Tancredo, who recognizes how dangerous it is to have our borders be so porous.

Frankly, I don't know one senator that seems worth more than a cup of spit. Really? I know of dozens.
Just because you're ignorant of the many fine conservatives in the Senate doesn't mean that everyone there is like the McCains and Chafees that grace the pages of the NY Times.

I believe George Allen is strong on the borders, but i will do more research. my enthusiasm for a candidate not blind and it's always subject to reversal should i learn things that would indicate i should reverse.

If someone suggested a Constitutional Amendment doing away with the Senate, I'd support it.Could not agree more. Useless body. Keep it around, but reduce its power to something like the House of Lords. Then Lord Voinovich could bleat all he wanted, to little effect.
