I read in one of her biographies that she used to practice her "Miss America" wave as a teenager and her friends would laugh at her. The practice sure came in handy...she waves wonderfully. ;)
i'm so glad I'm not the only one trying to get that wave right. (my cats are frequently wondering why their silly human is waving her hairless appendege like that!)
