Iran's threat to the world is a nightmare, says Shalom
A nightmare is how Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom defined Thursday the possibility that Iran may be able to achieve nuclear capabilities.
The possibility that Irans regime would be able to threaten the existence of the world with the press of a button is a nightmare, Shalom told reporters, following a traditional meeting with foreign diplomats at the presidents official residence.
Shalom said Israel must place international pressure on the United Nations Security Council in order to achieve a change in Irans current status.
The stick and the carrot method directed at Iran is not working, he said.
Germany, Britain and France have threatened to stop all talks with Iran, as long as it continues with uranium enrichment-related activities.
Both the U.S. and Israel, who do not believe in negotiations with Iran, have welcomed Europe's warning.
Meanwhile, more than 200 young men and women presented themselves on Thursday as volunteers to carry out suicide bomb attacks against Americans in Iraq and Israelis.
The meeting was organized by the Headquarters for Commemorating Martyrs of the Global Islamic Movement, a shadowy group that has sought volunteers for attacks in Iraq and Israel since last year.
The movement's spokesman, Mohammad Ali Samadi, told the audience that the volunteers were preparing for "Martyrdom attacks against occupiers of Palestine, the assassination of (British author) apostate Salman Rushdie and attacks against occupiers of holy places (in Iraq)."
The volunteers, who chanted "Allahu akbar" - "God is great" - and "Death to America," wore white shrouds symbolizing their willingness to die and headbands with the slogan "There is no Allah but the Almighty."
While the Iranian government has distanced itself from the organization, the group has occasionally used buildings belonging to semi-official hard-line organizations.

"The cancerous growth called Israel must be uprooted from the area,"
-Iranian Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in a recent speech.
These people also want ICBMs and list their enemies as 1> America and 2> Israel. This is a threat to the United States as well.
P.S.: No, I don't post on Shabbat. I'm in California on business. Shabbat shalom to all.
Pinging the pingers
Maybe we need to use the stick the carrot where the sun don't shine method.
That's because we haven't used the stick!!
Agreed, and that is precisely the problem.
The problem so far is all carrot and no stick!
Ya think?
-Germany, Britain and France have threatened to stop all talks with Iran, as long as it continues with uranium enrichment-related activities.-
Gee, no one could ask for a better reward.
what stick?
Iran will NOT get nukes.
Israel made it clear enough.
The nuke talks with the Mullahs will lead us no where as it didnt lead us any where in North Korean's case.
The only way to get rid of the Mullahs faster is to press them hard with their poor human rights record and also give enough support to true opposition groups inside Iran.
A lot of good you are! :-)
Thanks.
The Islamowhackos need to get real or get bombed to oblivion.
Personally, I prefer the latter choice, for I know they can't get real AND be Muslime.
