Looks like he's finally had enough. The highway bill is expected to be finished on the floor Tuesday or Wednesday. That means its go time after that.

It is a lock that there will be some sort of BS compromise made at the last minute.

I wonder if it's going to be a boy or a girl????

I mean, after a 4 year and 6 month gestation period, and all this pushing and gruntin', it just may very well be time to figure out what to wear to the blessed event. That is, if the GOP survives the birth of it's first (deleted by the couth police).

Upon completion of action on the pending highway bill, the Senate will begin debate on fair up or down votes on judicial nominations.

The Constitutional authority for this includes all other mominations the President makes. Not just judiciary appointments. It would include the Bolton nomination, too.

Just stirring the pot here.

"The Majority Leader will continue to discuss an appropriate resolution of the need for fair up or down votes with the Minority Leader. If they can not find a way for the Senate to decide on fair up or down votes on judicial nominations, the Majority Leader will..."

My question is: How many ways are there to have fair up or down votes on judicial nominations? Why does Dr. Frist still have to gaggle on about continuing to discull blah, blah, blah...
Such language doesn't even strengthen his position for actual negotiation if he wanted to negotiate.

Good approach. Give all the Senators a chance to speak. Doesn't come off as heavy-handed that way.

Bulletin from the National Weather Service. A freak front is moving in and hell appears to be freezing over. Now, of course, we will have the Sunday shows full of RINOs explaining how they just can't in good conscience destroy the working rules and traditions of the Senate, etc. And, of course, Trent Lott working hard to get 6 traitor RINO signatures on his and Nelson's "compromise" solution.

$10 says it won't happen. Frist will find a reason to wimp out as usual.

I have criticized Senator Frist on many occasions for this and other current issues, but my anger was directed at the wrong person. What is he do when he has Voinovich on Bolton, McCrazy teaming up with Teddy for amnesty and he's already said he will vote against ending the filibuster, Specter who tried to tell the President who to select [a moderate] when a SC Spot opens up and the two hags of Maine and their jackass sidekick Chaffe. That anything at all gets done is nothing short of a miracle when you are stuck with the team he must field. I take it all back Senator Frist and bravo for committing to the Constitutional solution to this impasse with the demoncrats. If you seek higher office, you now have my vote!

Sen Frist was on one of the Nashville morning radio talk shows this morning about this. He was very emphatic when asked when this would come up. His response was, "Next week, period." I believe the fur's about to fly. Can't wait to hear Bobby Byrd, Klegal-WV.

After having watched Robert Byrd fillibuster on the Senate floor -- during which he drooled, urinated on the carpet, and called President Bush a "doo-doo head" -- even Frist may finally be seeing the light.

Ugh OH!.. The RINOs will be exposed BIG TIME...
They will have to vote against these candidates..

Its not the Nuclear option its the RINOcide option..
Naked RINOS all over the Senate.. streaking through the votes..
outrageous but very very funny..

55 republican Senators.. but How many are republicans.?.
Be interesting to see who blows their cover.. and some un-named democrat Senator in the cloakroom..
