What about the American taxpayer? Funny how most of the arguments against the closure of every base on the Pentagon list centered on the jobs it provided and the economic value of the base to its community. Sounds like the argument of every public employee union when government reductions are proposed...not that the jobs to be cut are necessary or of value to the taxpayer, just that they are...well...good jobs for those who hold them
