Brooks City Base

Back in the 1970's I spent two months at Brooks City Base (then called Brooks AFB) taking part in a research program. Part of that was geeting to ride the centrifuge during a radioactive chromium-51 red cell survival study under G loads.

Yes, they shut down the runways years ago. How much need is there for an Air Force Base with inactive runways.
