It's amusing to see you cast in your lot with a lunatic who believes that the RNC assassinated Senator Wellstone.

I thought it was a good article, for the most part. The health insurance scam is truly cruel. They aren't the only employers doing it, either. I worked for a local Rainsoft distributor for several years. I made minumum plus commision. Due to my age and some pre-existing health problems, I would have had to pay half my salary to be covered. That was just for me, the kids had coverage through their father.

I also recall hearing about WalMart's life insurance scam. Just how much money do they feel is enough for them? I'm a little shocked that Sam Walton admitted to knowing about the life insurance. I thought he had more integrity than that.

It's companies like WalMart that are making unions neccessary again. I'm not a supporter of unions, but next time you go into a WalMart(if you don't even buy anything), observe the employees. They're short tempered and miserable, for the most part. I can't blame them for wanting to unionize.

I went to work for Wal-Mart in 1990. I was hired as full time which was about 39 hours a week. I applied for and got insurance. I worked for 4 months and had to go to emergency room. I was in hospital for 9 days. They paid for it.

My husband died in 1994, insurance paid me $25,000.

I bought $100 worth of stock, every two weeks. Wal-Mart put $15 with it. All the stock did was go up. It was great and I could sell it and get the money anytime. I would just call and get it in a few days.

At my store the Store Manager and the District Manager were women as were most of the Department Managers.

We were only given about a 30 cent an hour raise once a year, but we could get $1 an hour raise through the year for merit. In some cases several times a year.

I love Wal-Mart.

Interesting too since Walmart is trying their hand at transforming other aspects of our society.
