Beale and Kirtland AFBs? Those are very important are they not? Wow.
And Closing down San Diego? Um, Isnt that were the bulk of our Marines graduate from? My understanding is that you only go to Paris Island if you signed up from the original 13 states.

Forgot to add the Redstone Arsenal. That is part of the Marshal flight center/ where NASA is located.
For what ever reason, these rounds of base closings look to hurt us.

I really hate to say this, but I hope we find a way to fight a few of these base closings. I am sure that some are needed - but some of the bases scheduled to close - i am just dumb founded.
Then again, I am dumb founded to hear that some people want to replace the M-1A1/2 with nothing more than a Striker with a big gun on top.
Maybe San Diego will finally find a place for that new airport it's been "studying" for the past 30 years.
..but, I must admit, the ChiCOMS, can/will change everything REAL QUICK...and these base closing take time.

Frankly, there are no surprise here. Every one of these bases has been in the cross hairs for some time and, in spite of protestations, good arguments have long been made for this action in each and every case.
I hope they're keeping Area 51 open. I mean, geeze, what would they do with the aliens if they closed it?
Then Army how can take more MIA2s and M2s ?
