Ignorance can never help. Ignoring medical science can leave you dead. Ignoring science will destroy technology. Ignoring Economic Principles will also produce miscarriages.
I am ignorant of automobile mechanics but I don't rant and rail against those who have studied to learn how to fix cars. To do that regarding Economics is equally unwise.
The simple unavoidable fact is that taxes will ALWAYS be paid by those with incomes. And almost always those with higher incomes will pay higher taxes. This is true of EVERY tax system known to man.
The problem is that this system will result in unacceptable difficulties for the economy and for individuals and bring few of the alleged benefits touted by its advocates.

I may be ignorant but I'm NOT disingenious as you certianly are and I'll just bet you that others will be able to spot the disingeniousness as well! I'm on to you my friend!
Ignorance can never help. Why is it the people squawking the loudest for the FairTax seem to be the people who are most ignorant of basic economic principles? Do you think there is a connection?
"The problem is that this system will result in unacceptable difficulties for the economy and for individuals and bring few of the alleged benefits touted by its advocates."
From an economic standpoint, the FairTax is the most thoroughly researched tax proposal ever put forth in this country. For example, one study forecasts GDP growth of 10.5% during the first year after implementation. Do you have any economic research that supports your assertion of "unacceptable difficulties for the economy"?
Good to know that income taxes are not a cost ... I'll have to fix that in my computer since it generally thinks that writing checks is associated with costs. Dumb computer.
In our present tax system it does not hold true universally that those with higher incomes pay taxes at higher rates - despite the theoretical notions you offer. In fact, some with incomes (even high ones) pay no taxes at all, so I'm afraid your points aren't too well founded.
