CA: Alleged freeway shooter arrested in Los Angeles
Bakersfield Californian ^ | 5/12/05 | AP - Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (AP) - A 20-year-old man suspected of firing at a vehicle in an alleged road rage incident was arrested, California Highway Patrol officials said Thursday.

Juan Peralta fired a revolver, striking a truck twice, the CHP said. The Dec. 11 shooting allegedly occurred in Lynwood on the transition road from the Glenn Anderson Freeway (105) to the southbound Long Beach Freeway (710).

Peralta was arrested Tuesday and booked for investigation of attempted murder. He was held on $500,000 bail.

It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured in the shooting or whether Peralta was involved in other freeway shootings.

Authorities are still investigating more than a dozen freeway shootings in Southern California this year that have killed four people.

Two men were killed in separate incidents on the Harbor Freeway south of downtown Los Angeles. Two other men were killed in shootings in Riverside and Orange counties.

Well, I guess if that truck is trying to kill you you have every right to shoot it. Was he really trying to "murder" the truck?

He was held on $500,000 bail.

I guess must be an American citizen. I can't imagine they'd give bail to a Mexican. He'd be gone in a flash.

Good post devolve.

Three people were arrested in my Texas town yesterday for selling phony identification to illegals.

They had been under surveillance for quite awhile. They sold both birth certificates and social security cards to an undercover agent at a local car wash.

Two children were also found in their home, they were being smuggled from Mexico to Georgia.

.

In fact they were sellind de facto American citizenship to Mexican illegal aliens for a pieces of silver

Barack Hussein Obama Junior has promised his illegal alien voters that he will give them all US drivers licenses and free healthcare if thery vote for him

His ACORN roots are working door-to-door to sell out America - and ACORN is paid for by you - the honest American citizen

Florida is demanding backup ID from voters this year - provional ballet will not count unless the voter produces authentic matching ID docments within 2 days

Anyone attempting to register to vote or vote illegally or register anyone illegally should be sentenced to 10 years in a federal prison

My choice would be to make it a capitol crime

With a birthrate among democrats a full 25% under that of Republican parents - the democrats must import illegals and get them to vote for the lefties only

Amazing how most of Obama’s surrogates on TV look, talk, act like Gangsta Rappers —

I wonder how Michael Steele ever managed to achieve so much without playing the race card - I’d like to see him in a top level McCain administration slot - which department I’m not sure

He’d be a great VP pick in 2012

Thanks for all the info. I am not overly familiar with Michael Steele - being in a southern state. I see that he
appears on CNN’s The Situation Room now.

The arrested people here sold a birth certificate and SS card for $300. Wonder how many bought and were never arrested because the agents were still investigating the ‘sellers’?

I think Michael Steele is an analyst at Fox News Channel now

Steele’s Social Security number was hacked by (D-NY) US Senator Chuckie Schumer and his Senate office staff and used to hack Michael Steele*s credit history while he was running for the US Senate

Michael Steele is really sharp and no Obama apologist that comes on FNC has a chance when Michael is there

I don’t say that about many people
CNN has a lookalike of NY (NJ) Giants football star

-

$300 bucks

I’ve heard the coyotes are getting some really huge fees for smuggling in Mexicans, Central/South Americans, Muslims, and Asians

Like up to $20,000-$30,000 a pop

I wonder where the allegedly poor hispanics and Asians get those big coyote fees?

I’d like to know what happens when the US Border Patrol catches coyotes -

I think most Americans would like to know some actual case histories on that -

Ant FReepers with info on that?

Perhaps the more risky ones are made to pay fees like that. Down here I often read of them paying 2 or 3 thousand each to the coyotes.

Housefulls of them are often found in Raymondville, just South of the King Ranch, waiting to be transported.

The poor mexicans either worked hard or sold drugs to even get that kind of money.

Probably many carry in drugs themselves

The corruption and ignoring the problem and results by Congress and the Presidents is unforgivable
Out troops volunteer to fight and die

Illegal aliens swarm in and corporations welcome them with open arms and fake documentation for them

Perhaps it may take a very serious consequence (legal - of course!) happening to a corporate manager &/or politician to get their attention

Drug runners are caught in my area all the time, we are on the route to other big cities. The number who make it through must be huge.

I don’t think people realize how many are being caught and deported down this way, I read it all the time plus many have been leaving on their own out of fear of being caught.

There is more of a crack down than you realize, I think, it’s just not publicized like some ‘big’ event would be.

The border is being patrolled better and there are fewer coming in now. I read the local newspaper every day.

Thanks -

I’d like to see coverage on FNC and elsewhere of what serious time is done by the top guys

Perhaps the election deters that

Obama’s scummy lies using twisted words from Rush in Spanish ads will probably help Obama

There needs to be legal criminal consequences to any candidate that deliberately says “My name is X and I authorized this ad!”

I’m tired of those in Congress being immune after libel, slander, lies, campaign BS

While the honest American citizen gets zinged if he “offends somebody” in speech for a “hate crime” or “hate speech”

There will be a reckoning

It will not be pretty
