Christianity does not advocate the killing of children, Hinduism does advocate the marriage of children. Are there completely insane members of both groups? Absolutely. However, taking an exception to the rule to prove an argument won't work.

What religious scripture of Hinduism advocates child marriage?? To the best of my knowledge none...

In farming communities across the world...(including Kentuckey until 1998 based on your data..) it is a practise to get a pair of extra working hands through marriage...

The Bible says..'Judge not that ye be judged'....What you are talking about Hinduism is nothing short of a judgement..

The incident in question might be also an exception to the rule..and not a rule...

What I find positive is there are people in there in India who are objecting to child marriage and there are newspapers who pay attention and there is law enforcement who (may be grudgingly) starts taking action...

However, my main argument here was not so much with child marriage (India has taken the necessary steps in outlawing this), but with chopping someone's hands off because they try to uphold the law. That is barbaric behavior in any culture.
