God, it's tempting. I have to help my old man around the house tomorrow, though, and I think it's around a three-hour drive down there from Philly (wild guess -- I haven't been to DC since I was ten). Probably more with the Philly+Baltimore rush hour traffic I'd hit. Probably would need another hour to find the hospital -- I don't know *anything* about the city's layout :)

If Ollie was to show up I *would* be there, though, even if I had to leave at 2. Don't know what I would bring -- our local hardware store sells US flags, though. A PA flag would be nice, too, but I have no idea where I'd get one.

For future reference... straight down I95 to Capital Beltway (I495, us oldsters refer to inner and outer loops - you'd want the outer loop towards Silver Spring). Beltway to Georgia Avenue exit southbound. Follow Georgia Ave south, just about 3 miles to Elder Street in NW Washington.

It's that easy.

(Well it's easy to say)

Here to Philadelphia is probably two and a half hours, +/-.

It appears that we will be doing this gig every Friday for the forseeable future, so anytime you want to drive down, give us a shout. And thanks for your support.

:-)
