I read the other day how they want to restore some of his statues over there. Unbelievable.
The statue that's raising all the ruckus includes Roosevelt and Churchill, and is based on their Yalta portrait. Some say that Stalin is a huge historical figure, and needs to be remembered for the war.
I believe his crimes far outweigh his contribution to allied victory over Germany, but I'm not the president of Russia. If I were, I'd might throw a few Churchill statues up, but Roosevelt and Stalin I'd keep in the basement.
Lot's of old-timers still alive who associate Stalin with the 'good old days'. And they still vote, and march twice a year.
