I would be suing that school system so fast their heads would spin. Separation of church & state, after all and unless they have a room for EVERY denomination, they shouldn't have one for ONE of them.

...these people a danger to civilization.

&&
How right you are! I shudder to think where it will end.

I'm at the point where I believe that many people - including a large percentage of Americans - will refuse to see the truth until a city is nuked. And, even then, many will keep their heads in the sand. I shudder for the next generations.

In a particularly interesting observation, Obin notes that it is the schools that have reached accommodations with the extremists that are most plagued by violence against girls, Jews, and teachers.

Something about lack of excrement and a ficticious English Detective come to mind.

I do believe that when push comes to shove the French will reach down and grab their balls and fight back with a vengeance that could make Kosovo look like a spit ball fight. I could be wrong but I hope I'm not. It's one thing to be over run by Nazi Germany and quite another to be ruled by foreign Islomfacist.

Europe is missing religion and Islam is missing enlightenment, is it possible that the combination will improve both?

There is not a win-win solution. In the old days, it was Islam or the sword. Europe doesn't have the will to fight back.

It is happening now in the US only right now it is the influx of illegal immigrants we need to worry about first!

For now, we should not allow any more "mosques" or islamic centers built in the USofA until every "mooselimb" country allows Christian schools and churches be built in their nations!

"...chosen not as a cross-section of public schools, but rather as schools typical of those where religious expression has become a problem because of the high concentration of ethnic and religious minorities. Many are located in ethnically segregated neighborhoods now often referred to, the report says, "by analogy with the United States, as 'ghettos.'"

Interesting...so the schools where the studies were done were in areas where there are are mostly muslims. I wonder what the schools are like in areas that are mainly French born.

The first thing the fascists will do is destroy it. The great works of Botticelli, Vermeer, Picasso, all the religiously themed works of Lotto, Tintoretto, Michaelangelo, all in danger of maniacal, fanatical ignorance.

It is against the laws of Islam to potray all human likenesses of divinity. The laws of Islam are laid out in the religion's holy book, the Koran. Like most religious books, its teachings have been interpreted in different ways. The very strict Taliban believes that Islamic law forbids the existence of pictures, photos or statues that show the human figure. The Taliban believes these idols represent other religions and rituals that do not follow Islamic tradition.

Obin also emphasizes that many conversions to Islam are taking place under duress

The french had best get used to this. Either that, or do something about it ! Someday, they are not going to have a choice of comfortably basking in their Gallic secularism...

Even though most of the Muslim kids are actually French citizens, they see themselves as Muslims first

No surprise here. Why would they consider themselves on equal terms with the Infidel? That goes completely against their religious precepts.

Obin explains his disturbing findings as the result primarily of indoctrination orchestrated over years by international Muslim organizations

CAIR, anybody?

The goal... is to take the Muslim residents of France out of the French nation and make them think of themselves as part of the international Muslim community

Hasn't Mr. Obin ever heard of the Umma? Where has he been all these years? That's a basic tenet of the Islam religion!

Obin calls for a policy of no compromise with Islamist demands

At last. Somebody "gets" it!

Still unclear is how French educators can be expected to hang tough while their government refuses to own up to the problem

We have the same problem over here. PC is going to mean the death of the West!

I fear that the rest of at least "old Europe" is also finished, and I don't see many saviors of western civilization coming forward to stem the tide of aggressive, voracious, militant Islam.

I think you're right.

.......just as the Taliban blew up the centuries old Buddha........and why the ancient library at Alexandria, Egypt was burned......or the Goths destroyed Rome. Barbarism destroying advanced cultures, because the keepers of the lighthouses of those cultures have fallen asleep.

I don't care what they believe as long as they respect others' beliefs.

Other than that, they can die.

"And the 'conversion' of the Cathedrals.."

My Dutch son-in-law tells me that there are now more mosques in Holland than original Dutch churches, and that the remaining ones are rapidly being taken over by new "imams" all the time.

I can't ever forget a published report of a statement made by the Imam of the largest mosque in Denmark - three years ago. He said, "Within five years, all of Denmark will be under Sharia law." They are making lots of headway in this new islamic conquest, because they have the complicity of a liberal socialist "old Europe."

Maybe, with a 12% unemployment rate in "old Europe," they'll get up to 15% and then have a war against the Muslim invaders, so that they can at last have full employment. The trouble with that scenario is that most of the unemployed are newly-arrived islamists.

"It will end like in Kosovo - the murder and expulsion of all non muslims"
No chance, the French will simply negotiate a peaceful solution.

In other words, they'll surrender.

...ethnically segregated neighborhoods now often referred to, the report says, "by analogy with the United States, as 'ghettos.'"

What a fascinating and revealing usage. "Ghetto," is, of course, not an American but a European - probably Italian - word, and it refers to a closed, walled community...of Jews. Reference.

It is common in European intellectual circles to decry the expulsion of the Moors from Spain as an example of intolerance and to flatter themselves that they are much more enlightened these days. That's the biggest hazard in reading history - one assumes that because one knows how it all came out that one is smarter than the people one is reading about. It isn't true, of course. And this may be a case where the old Europeans were right and the new ones fools.
