Are you sure that "Mowing is Murder" bumper sticker wasn't satirical? I have a hard time believing that even the biggest libs would think such a thing.
It's been several years but, yes, though it might have been a bit tounge-in-cheek or provocative, I think they really believed that. I went to some web site and there was serious discussion of the rights of the grass to reproduce!
