One of their biggest mistakes is assuming that most people are like them.

Civilization isn't "spinning apart", although there is certainly room for improvement. It's the libs that are coming unraveled. Kinda fun to watch, ain't it? ;o)

There will be a revolt. A peasant's revolt. It's going to get a whole lot worse before it gets a whole lot better.
See you there on the front lines! I'll be bringing my Glock and my Browning A-Bolt KerryTraveler, what will you be packing?

I am glad I am not a liberal - it would be so depressing to be so depressed all the time...

Yep, sure is fun! I recall one DU poster who said she didn't go out of the house for about five days after the election out of fear. And when she did venture out to the grocery store, she internally questioned everyone she encountered- "Are you one of them?"

"I was scared years ago, of the republicons when raygun was in office..I hated him than."
And WE have the spell check...
On a serious note, as a reformed liberal myself, this kind of thing is quite commonplace. The entire philosophy is wrapped around the adolescent emotion that "something" is coming. When you haven't lived very long, or very much for that matter, you tend to believe these things. Some "revolution" or breakdown of social order is imminent in the mind of the liberal because they are utopian. They have yet to learn that utopia is impossible and that their ideas lead to nothing but human suffering.

The sky is falling, the sky is falling.
Doomsday is always around the corner to someone. At the turn of the century, of the 19th century, during ancient eclipses, after the tsunami in Asia, anytime anywhere. These people are just frustrated idiots that think that other people hold their ideas.
They need to get out and see this country that they "love" and get some fresh air, some sound like they really need it.

"You can FEEL something in the air, and I think most of you know what I am talking about. It seems as though our Civilization is slowly unraveling before our eyes, and it will be interesting to see how things go from here on out."
I actually agree with this comment. But given that the type of folks that frequent DU are the culprits in unraveling Western Civilization, the comments are the ultimate in self-deception. It is like someone who has taken up smoking and then blames cigarette companies when they get lung cancer....oh wait, the libs do that too.

LOL! The Looney Left all think they're brave revolutionaries manning the barricades in Les Miserables. Instead, they're Pee Wee Hermans.....

The one thing that makes sense in all that crapola is the comment about prozac - taking it, I hope. Lord knows they all need it.
To: dukeman
Bingo. The libs are coming unglued. Why?:
1) President Bush is firmly into the second term with no hint whatsoever of the fabled (now, therefore, expected) "sophomore scandal". Furthermore, he is no lame duck either, as is also supposedly the case.
2) The filibuster showdown is imminent! And the President will win! That, my friends, means that the only governmental avenue available to the libs to force their failed policies over the will of the voters will be unavailable.
3) Progress in terrorism. Maybe the event they're dreading is the nearing (?) capture of Al-Zarquari (sp?) now that our boys are kicking ass near Syria based on information on Zarquari's laptop &c.
Those are the obvious ones, and probably not all of them.

Also, as I mentioned, me being an empathetic person whenever I saw Kerry whether on a rally on CSPAN or a debate or campaign photo etc. I felt this WONDERFUL positive energy. He has this wonderful green aura about him.
Yep. I can see that. ;)

They need to format their comments in equal blocks of space so I can easily print their threads on toilet paper and then use them to download.
