I can tell they are good people. And I understand there is a constant stream of trolls that have to be dealt with. I'm perfectly willing to adapt my language to local conditions and that some "trial by fire" is normal for new people.
I hope it doesn't turn out that I can't disagree about the wisdom of a particular nominee and still stay here since I'm not going to be willing to lie to fit in.
We all disagree about lots of things. No big deal! That's what we do - as long as we do it in a civil manner! We can usually tell the trolls from the people who just have a different opinion. The trolls are usually insulting and will only post one nasty thing and suddenly disappear! You will do fine!
Needless to say there will be times, on certain topics, when you absolutely cannot state anything remotely appearing to be anti, or pro, (which ever the case may be) be it facts, or opinions.
A thick skin and the knowledge that what you state, you believe to be the truth, will serve you well.
You sure as hell can't please everyone all the time. ;)
