My question - the Senators and some of the talking heads I'm seeing on Fox at the moment, are talking about having to co-operate and work with the UN, and be tactful. Well, why? It's not like the UN has been restrained in its criticism of the USA and the Allies. The USA gives the UN a nice New York address, loads of money and some actual credibility - in return UN diplomats spy on the USA, their officials are either engaged in corruption or damning the USA, and just generally, they're a giant pain in the arse. There is absolutely no reason to be nice to the UN...quite the contrary, it's time to be even nastier than Mr. Bolton would be.

But, if I rememebr the rues, it depends on how the motion is made..the GOP will have to make the motion to send it to the Senate floor WITHOUT a recomendation...that will be the sound byte..

I've read thousands of posts on this board still don't know why the term "neocon" would be offensive. My position on Bolton is that President should have nominated somebody else but that there is no reason he should not be confirmed. I can see why people might diagree with that but I don't see where it warrants personal attacks from txrangerette.
He may not run again. If he does, he's a lock. Sorry, but that's the reality in Ohio. Voinovich is popular in the Northeast (mostly 'Rat), and the Southwest is Republican anyway. He doesn't need help from the President or anyone else.
