Of course not, you need someone who would be effective at promoting the President's policies. And that's exactly what Bolton will do...

That was Ted Rall. If Condi had a boyfriend (I volunteer), that someone should have kicked Rall so hard in the scrotum for his racist nonsense that he could sing with the Vienna Boys' Choir.

Someone needs to ask Biden who the hell he thinks HE is, literally scolding the other members of the committee. Lugar needs to slap hom DOWN.

Yeah, really PD, if you are going to post these cryptic posts on FR you should take a leap and give some more details. Otherwise just gets everybody more worked up.

"Actually, the President is probably wishing he had not let the neocons talk him into Bolton but there is no choice but to support him." Where do you get this nonsense? Bolton is no 'neo-con,' he is a genuine conservative, American Patriot, and that is why the neo-cons, and the dummacrats have been trying to sabotage him.

If the committee votes 9 to 9 does it require a unanimous consent agreement to send the Bolton nomination to the Senate floor w/o a recommendation. If so, it won't go.

I just remembered what the Senators remind me of - during the days of Mrs. Thatcher, the old Tory guard used to get puffed up and upset over how she was changing things. The Thatcherite response was "Tough luck, chum. Shut up and sit at the back of the room". The Senate is like the old Tory guard that hasn't learned to shut up and sit at the back of the room.
