ON CAPITOL HILL Bolton Vote in Committee The Senate Foreign Relations Committee conducts a debate and vote on the nomination of John Bolton as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Chair Richard Lugar (R-IN) and Ranking Member Joseph Biden (D-DE) continue a review of the nominee, based on issues raised at the committee's April 19 business meeting. 10AM-3:30PM ET ON C-SPAN3
This is just the appetizer. The entree is coming when Frist rams the judicial nominations right through the 'Rats like crap through a goose.
Dessert will be when Janice Rogers Brown is nominated for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and the 'Rats will have to decide if they want to trash a black woman publicly!
Sucks to be a 'Rat in 2005.

"Tony Snow is correct on all counts"
All right, you convinced me, I'm going to the Tony Snow Show for now. Enough of this Bidenrhea of the mouth.
I, too, am very glad to see you're still here, Ivan. The Mrs and I were getting distressed the other day....
Not to be maudlin, Ivan, but I too want to say how glad I am you stayed. That is all.
Perfectly Macchiavellian. The GOP takes the wind out of the sails of Biden and the other Democratic blowhards and still secures a vote to get out of committee. Now it's time for the cloakroom lovevest for another 4+ hours, but the Bolton nomination is going to the floor. He gets out of committee, and Sonovavich gets his glowing write-up in the New York Times.
Given how spineless these RINOs are, we really couldn't have hoped for more than what we got.
Well I'll be around for a long time. :)
Regards, Ivan
"Actually, the President is probably wishing he had not let the neocons talk him into Bolton but there is no choice but to support him."
Actually, the President is gloating that Voinivich did such a great job with the script. This has been the RATS problem for the longest time. With Voinivich hacking Bolton to death, yet still saying he will vote him out of committee, that puts the pressure on Biden to do the same.
If Biden votes no, then he is portrayed as an obstructionist. Paul, you will have to learn that the Republicans play chess while the Democrats play checkers.
" This doesn't mean Voinovich will vote for him in committee.
Voinovich said he should be moved out of committee without a recommendation. Voinovich could vote against him causing a tie vote which could (if agreed upon by committee) move the vote out of committee without recommenation."
FINALLY, I have the courage to say THAT IS HOW I READ HIS REMARKS.
Biden is yellling and spitting again
Calling a troll a troll is no personal attack. If you weren't a troll you would know that.
I did put out my argument in a few words. "Neocons like Condoleeza Rice"?
YOU CALLED SUPPORTERS OF BOLTON "NEOCONS". WHO WAS CALLING NAMES? YOU, NOT ME. AND I POINTED OUT THAT CONDI RICE IS THE REASON BUSH NAMED BOLTON.
GO AWAY, TROLL.
I'm can't figure out a word Biden is saying....all I can hear is "Hey boss, hey boss"
Does anyone know senator Dodds number?
I wrote earlier that I expected the Dems to filabuster Bolton on the Senate floor..out of spite for the nuclear option..but now Voinovich's speil may make it impossible for them to do so..
Wonder where Biden stole his remarks from? Any ideas?
I would pay real money for the House UnAmerican Activities Committee were re-started and investigated the RINOs and Democrats.
Both are willing to sell out the interests of the United States (and her real allies) to foreign powers. They are, prima facie, traitors, as such.
Regards, Ivan
Do you think it is a coincidence that Bolton looks so much like Teddy Roosevelt?
