Send Sheets to Shady Pines!
LOL
How can this crapweazel (Byrd) talk about freedom of debate when HE changed or threatened to change the rules many times himself?
I waiting for Byrd any minute now to start talking about the Loch Ness Monster asking him for tree fitty.
Good for Frist. How old is sheets now...a million years old?
Not a Byrd quote but here's four Dims that DID!

SHEETS HAS NOW GONE BACK TO THE HOUSE OF COMMONS AND TO FEB 13, 1689!!!
I believe Bush, and through extension Rice, had a plan laid out for a more effective UN after the poor performance of that organization in dealing with Iraq, and Bolton is just the guy selected as the proper prescription.
Therefore, rather than an underestimation of the controversy on Bush's part, this is perhaps a first strike at the impact of future policy and will difuse later critics as staying personal.
For example, Lewis noted that then-Majority Leader Robert C. Byrd used the constitutional option in 1977, 1979, 1980, and 1987 to establish precedents that changed Senate procedures during the middle of a Congress.

Correct..he has really deteriorated physically and mentally over the last year..old people, when they go downhill, do so very fast..he may well NOT run in 2006..though if he does..his age and health will be a huge , though unspoken factor..
yup , this gets funny then slurring
Something about how ALL the Senators were voted into office ...
I tuned her out and listened to Frist and Byrd.
The POLITTILIZATION OF INTELLIGENCE! HA
I learned a long time ago not to use words I couldn't pronounce... I guess she didn't
That's right. CBS purposely edited Starr's comments wrong. Placed them in context of the wrong questions during the 20 minute interview.
CBS committed journalistic fraud....again. Might as well have the forged copies.
He WAS in the House of commons in 1689! :-D
CBS aired a quote where Ken Starr said "it hurts the Senate and breaks tradition" (my paraphrase). In the broadcast segment, CBS said Starr was talking about banning the filibuster (i.e. nuclear option). But he wasn't. Starr was talking about using the filibuster to stop nominees because you (the RATS) disagree with judicial philosophy. (hope that makes sense -- I'm no Rush Limbaugh).
