School Suspends Boy for Wearing Prom Dress - Wednesday, May 11, 2005 (05-11) 19:56 PDT Lake Geneva, Wis. (AP) -- A high school senior who thought it would be funny to wear a dress to his prom was ticketed $249 for disorderly conduct, suspended for three days and banned from his last track meet.

Amazing that a government school would even think to suspend a boy for wearing a dress. What's the world coming to, when a little cross dressing is seen as wrong?

Its because the boy was probably not gay, or a cross dresser. Such tomfoolery by a straight person is not to be tolerated.
Conversely, gay young men are not thrown out of their prom for wearing a tuxedo, and cannot be thrown out for wearing a dress. Though the former can be construed as disorderly conduct, and the latter as a more natural state for their sexual orientation.
What would happen if a straight girl decided to wear a tuxedo?

Ok, maybe I can see the suspension and the track meet, but how does a school have the authority to ding ANYONE for $249 bucks for anything that did not involve monetary loss?
