Amerika was a TV-miniseries aired in '87 or so.

Uh huh. I should have also said I don't watch much teevee either ;^)

It would be *hugely* damaging to their cause.

Well, considering the ones most likely watching it would be cheering for the other side, I dunno. If you consider who teevee programming and advertising is geared toward, it will give you an idea of just who's watching. Or at least who presumably goes out and buys the soap.

Where to buy Amerika It is *not* available in North America from any standard channels (e.g. Amazon). As someone else posted, the miniseries is being suppressed.

Another place to get Amerika, on DVD instead.

By and large most people thought the series was rather boring, and the story perhaps could have been better executed. I do know, though, that the libs did *not* want people to see it at the time.
