We need to Freep every GOP senator and let them know that we are fed up with their cowering to the DemoRats! Push forward or quit! Let them know without pushing through Bush's agenda, the unemployment line is awaiting them at the end of their term.

Thanks much. I can picture Tim and Don playing those parts, and danged if I'm not starting to see them when I watch the senate deliberate. I just posted this on another thread, and it fits in nicely with our subject matter:

You're welcome. As soon as I saw your post it clicked in my head...yep, that's who they remind me of too...The Apple Dumpling Gang.

if the Dems are allowing it, then it probably means they have concluded that he will lose.

What the hell happened to the mandate?

With Cheney not running there is no heir apparent so every Republican everywhere thinks he/she has to run to the center in order to be elected President. I'm sad to say but Dubya is looking like a lame duck because of this.

Saw on an earlier thread that Flynt is trying to drum up some sexual scandal using Bolton's divorce papers. No doubt, the dems have something dirty up their sleeves and plan to stick it to Bolton one last time.

See my post #27. I'm sure they plan on damaging Bolton as much as possible with dirt from his divorce.

Any Republican who votes against Bolton should be kicked off the committee (and any other Senate committees they may be on). Also, any pork barrel projects they have sponsored should be quashed. Its time to play hard ball.

I maybe looking at it a bit differently. What have the RATS won lately - the gridlock war? Bolton - in. Judge filibuster - a stiff backbone would help but Dubya is now back in DC. Tax cuts - should be more on the way. Sosha Security reform - promising. In the mean time, the entire lockstep RAT Party is looking helpless, mean-spirited, insulting and petty. (Pretty neat - eh?)

Is there ANY RAT idea being pushed to the front pages right now? I don't know of one. Not one...

The Donks objective was to savage John Bolton and pass him on as damaged goods. Their crusade has distracted the Bush Administration. Summer is soon here where NOTHING gets done in Congress. Washington DC, the eternal swamp.

Yep, The Dems can only obfuscate and block until they figure out what thier platform is. It's clear to me that goal here is to make it as if the second Bush term never happened....

Compared to who - the Libyans or Syrians on the Human Rights Counsel at the UN?

The RATS usually make a mess up front for no real good reason, push it to the limits, get Big Media behind them, get on TV, get crushed, and move to the next topic. (Remember the gun control issue the DAY AFTER Altoast2000 conceded - for the second time? Issue DROPPED - for good!) The same game plan has been used for the past few hundred years. How many UN ambassadors can you name? I know of one - and he hasn't even been voted in yet...

The Dems have placed Larry into his Sexual Escapades Time Machine to hunt up some dirt, any dirt, on Bolton.

I still say Hillary is behind all this crap (judicial nominees, Bolton, etc.).

Washington DC is a city unto itself. An imperial city that was consumed and distressed for weeks by the Bolton dust up. What you or I think is irrelevant since we are outsiders. It prevented the Republicans from going forward. They had to play defense thanks to the Donk driven mass media

You make very good points. Just keeping the story offensive in the liberal media is an accomplishment that is easy to overlook. We sometimes get caught up in agonizing over our lack of reaching goals fast enough. Kudos to the Republicans for at least having decent goals coming out of the wasteland of the Clintoon years.

dirt from the divorce.

Yup, that will be convincing from the people who told us that it was "all about sex."

If those are the only blanks they can fire, then fire away. And if they succeed in blocking the nomination... What have they won? Nothing. Bolton is expendable. But if he goes down, he's taking them with him.
