Just days before the November 25, 2004 meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to determine whether or not Iran had complied with yet another deadline imposed by the watchdog agency to suspend its uranium enrichment program, the Islamic Republic of Iran relented---at least temporarily. In European capitals, the implementation of a fuel enrichment suspension was being looked upon as a diplomatic victory, a chance to once again manage a problem that the United States insists won't go away. At a joint press conference with British Prime Minister Tony Blair on November 12, however, President Bush did pay compliments to Blair and the negotiation efforts of France and Germany. Bush noted of Blair that he gets a lot of credit for working with France and Germany to convince the Iranians to get rid of the processes that would enable them to develop a nuclear weapon.
After talks with the E3/EU countries and Iran were finalized with the offering of trade concessions and help with fuel for its nuclear reactor, Tehran agreed to comply with IAEA guidelines while engaging in further negotiations, including the support of Iran in joining the World Trade Organization. Looking past all the flowery diplomatic prose, however, the fact that a similar deal fell apart after just a few monthscompounded by the discovery that Tehran had secretly been conducting an enrichment program for yearshas fed suspicion that the Iranian government is simply trying to prolong things again.

Gee, ya think??? There is truly no end to liberal stupidity.
Fox News is reporting that Iran says it will resume nuclear testing. Now Britain, Germany, and France will have to reluctantly go with hat in hand to the UN Security Council. I expect will see a rerun of Old Europe foot-dragging and one resolution after another condemning Iran before something serious develops.
Iran says any threat of hauling them to the UN is nothing more than "media propoganda."
Once again, Bush was right and the E3 were wrong.
