From what I've read of their comments here, they are incensed by this notion that communism did not get the same outrage that national socialism did. What is so hard about condemning both equally?
And of course, there are the rabid anti-Israel (anti-Jew) FReepers, whose motives stand on their own. I don't respond to anti-semitic stormfronters, no matter how many times they bring up Pollard or the USS Liberty (as if other allies have not made mistakes, including us. Didn't we shoot down some Canadians in the beginning of the war against the Taliban in Afghanistan?). I've had my fill of their kind on the left. Same hate, different reasons.
