Every now and then, Pat's inner Nazi comes screaming out. Remember when Pat hooked up with Lenora Fulani, the Red, the Jew-baiter?
We only entered the War after Pearl Harbor.
Looking back some may say we should have focused on Japan first because nearly 70,000 Americans were being held as POWs at the time and being tortured.
In the mean time Hitler would have crushed the Russians and therefore elimnated an enemy for us. The problem was that we didnt know how long the UK would last and we could not afford to lose them as an ally. So we focused on Germany first. WW2 had nothing to do with saving the Jews if it did then we would have bombed the railways leading to the concentration camps, and even bombed some of the camps themselves. That would have deeply hampered the Nazi killing machine.
Disgusting. Atrocious. Inane.
He would rather that Hitler had swallowed up Eastern Europe than anyone fight for it. Had Winston been listened to in 1938, the Nazis would have bloodied themselves in the Czech defense and the war would have been over much earlier. In this, Buchanan makes him look like a warmonger.
I'm not usually given to foul language, but a lot of expletives are springing to mind now.

I apologize to my fellow conservatives on these threads.
I just jumped into middle of the fray, yesterday? day before? ... never a good idea. I had previously read the article and remembered it an as excellent review of President Bush's inexplicable trip halfway around the world to pay tribute to Stalinist Russia.
So, by moving Pat's last sentence to appear to be the opening statement you poisoned the discussion-well right off the bat, and it slipped right by me. Shame on me.
In its original context it reads properly as a sarcastic thumb in the eye of Bush's idiotic "democracies don't make war on each other" worldwide campaign.
Your taking it upon yourself (I'm sure you thought you were very clever) to maliciously misdirect the intent of the article is reprehensible.
I return the sentiment ... screw you EveningStar.
The REAL question is: is Patsy Buchanan worth it?
