I am a Christian, believer, and student of Biblical history. Are you questioning whether God is able to heal, whether these people lacked faith, or that they should be discounted/prosecuted because they believe in God?
God hasn't changed... people have! I can't condemn them.

Wow, you read all of that into my comments?
The answers to your questions are no, no, and NO. But do my religious beliefs give me the right to kill, or by act of omission, allow another human being to be killed? Is that what you're defending? Is that Christian?
"... I can't condemn them."
Neither can I. That's God's business, not mine. I can, however, recognize willful neglect when I see it, and allowing a baby to die is willful neglect (assuming it was reasonable to believe that the baby was gravely ill).

So, have you healed your child from serious illness by prayer alone? Please tell.

I used to have two kids. One of them I fed, taught, prayed for, nursed, etc... The other one I just prayed for. I only have one now. Guess which one. /sarcasm

Luke was a doctor. I don't find any evidence in the Bible that God wants Christians to forgo medical help. One can exercise faith AND use medicine.

If Jesus showed up to help it would be a different story. A bunch of ordinary smooes just let a baby die for no good reason. Where does the Bible encourage or justify such a course of action as they took?

I can't condemn them either, nor can I imagine how hard it was for them to go through this event. However, I would have sought medical treatment.

I also believe in Christ, but could you please point out to me the relevent passages in the bible where the cure for all illness' is merely a test of faith.
God does not promise to heal all sickness in this world (prior to the second coming), just because you have prayed. God also does not perform miracles to order, these are the current realities of life on earth.
The irresponsible and naive parents in this sad case should be charged for their part in the death of this poor baby. They might as well have beaten the infant to death, as the end result of their witholding medical treatment was just as cruel.
