Would that minds could so easily be re=orientated. What bothered me then and apparently Ratrzinger also was the indifference to the feelings of the laity. If one has worshiped in a certtain way for many. many years, from childhood, bit are expected to throw all that away, because of a revolution that it i being imposed from above, then it has to be shocking.

Well, hopefully the change back will be gradual. But anybody over about 45-50 does remember the old way. Shoot, I was an Episcopalian at the time, and I remember the old Latin Mass (we used to travel a lot in Mexico and the Caribbean at Christmas and Easter, and went to Mass a lot when a "high" Anglican church wasn't available.)

And some of us with orthodox archbishops have had the FSSP and the Latin Mass around for years.
