It'll always be BWI to me.
ML/NJ
Hey now, the liberal media can't stand the C-word. They'd prefer you call them xians, bigots or intolerable/radical extremists.
That said I am a Christian and proud of it!
I'm a Christian as well. Those liberals won't stop me.
They just as well could have named it for Algonquin J. Calhoun. I think Calhoun knew more about the Constitution.
I wonder if naming an airport after Thurgood Marshal will have the same impact as naming a street after MLK.
Or: Murdered children international airport
Or: Hey I thought I was GOD and found out I was wrong International airport
Or how about: Satan's servant International airport.
"If a friend calls you and says 'I'm lost. I'm on Martin Luther King Boulevard' and they want to know what to do, the best response is, 'Run!' "
So he should have vetoed the bill? I'm sure that would have done absolute wonders for his reelection campaign in 06.
They did so that the airlines baggage claim tickets won't have to be reprinted. They'll still read "BWI."
They could name the wings:
"Days of Our Lives International Terminal"
or
"General Hospital Aviation Terminal"
Then they found that that Baltimore wasn't really a friendly place. Sort of like Philly and its nickname.
For the record, BWI was once called Friendship Airport.
I have just divulged my age with this post!
