What was the split (vote difference) that caused these illegal votes to be probed?

See, usually, the demo's can get everybody (RINO's in particular!) to ignore vote fraud because the fraud is in "safe" (democrat) precincts where "racial discrimination" is the shield.

Washington is the ONLY state where the (local) repubbies have even offered token resistance to democratic fraud: And even there, the national republican party has offered ZERO help, promotion, assistance, or legal aid to their embattled governor.

Now, why the repubbies are ignoring vote is a stunning piece of stupidity and timidity that they have only two years to solve nationally -> because Hillary can't win without MASSIVE inner city fraud in otherwise "red" states.

Just over 11,000 votes, and the election-day slashing of tires on 20 vans rented by the GOP by Democratic operatives, including the adult child of the Democratic candidate for the US House-4th District and the adult child of the former mayor of Milwaukee.

Washburn's World should prove a very interesting read. The blogger has a very interesting tale of fraud and incompetence in not only the November election, but both elections since (the spring primary and general elections).
