Wow, so Blair will basically govern against his own back bench? I'm amazed that British governments don't just slam their agenda through Parliament while the other side is getting reorganized. It sounds like he's playing rugby against an opponent that can't even form a scrum.

Blair is going to need a lot of help from the Tories to get much of his agenda through. His most powerful opposition is the left wing of his own party at the moment.
