NEW YORK -- Tony Danza got quite a scare when he and NASCAR star Rusty Wallace were racing go-karts during the taping of a segment for the nationally syndicated "The Tony Danza Show."
Tony Danza In this image from TV, Tony Danza's go-kart is shown flipping over during the "DayTony 500."
Danza was leading as they entered the final lap Monday morning on West 66th Street, the show said. After Wallace gave Danza's vehicle a little "bump and run," the 54-year-old talk-show host lost control of his go-kart, which flipped over.
"Although slightly worse for wear, Danza escaped with no injuries," the show said in a statement.

Assuming Danza landed on his head, how would they know if there were brain damage, anyway?

Actually, I'm glad that Tony is ok. He is a conservative and a big supporter of the Republican Party.

"He is a conservative and a big supporter of the Republican Party."
If he's really a conservative he would have doubts about the Republican Party.

Speaking as an Engineer here, they can measure the amount of asphalt Danza's head dislodged by the application of Archimede's Principle as applied to an Italian cranium. His oily scalp was probably a positive, as it most likely lowered the coefficient of friction.
I know that's not much to go on, but it should allow the track to sue for a reasonable dollar figure necessary to fix the raceway.
And it could have been much worse; a Polish driver would have likely showered the crowd with the asphalt and the underlying gravel to boot, to a depth of 10 inches maximum.
;)

Tony Danza has a tv show?
To: politicalwit
I have to agree with what you said. This conservative has no great love for the Republican Party, especially RINOS, but where else can we go?

Looks like Rusty "took the air off of Tony's spoiler"-hey man that's just racin'.

"Actually, I'm glad that Tony is ok. He is a conservative and a big supporter of the Republican Party." Sorry, but I can't get years of three-channel TV out of my head. Channel surfing through the "Budt Samandta..." half hour was sheer torture.
Now, I'm glad he's not hurt. However, I'm with yooper in that the track should probably bill him for the damage caused by that forehead scrape. Bone seriously scars asphalt, from what I understand.
