In 1915 they put Indian divisions on the Western Front but denied them leave because they didn't want brown men sleeping with white French prostitutes. They were quickly removed from the Western Front and sent to the Middle East and Africa.

Its possible that both of you are right..

Anyway, I read somewhere that Indian soldiers did sleep with lots of french women during WW-I than in WW.. I'm sorry but I dont remember where I read it. Afterall, french women are known to experiment and stuff ;)

But its also definite that there was no way Indian troops could've handled european winters.. they might've even pressurized their superior officers to transfer them to warmer climes.

actually i've agreed with him on that point. he's trying to press an argument where there is none. Likely because he doesn't like something else I posted but can't refute that.
