Mrs. Bush's speech, which seemed designed to loosen up the stuffy evangelical Christian image as the Washington press corps paranoid Freepers worries about a new American ayatollah under every bed...

It's some of the worst American pop culture has to offer, and will qualify as one of our foulest exports when it hits the international TV market, with America-bashers around the world declaring that America is captured perfectly by that cartoonish show: soulless wealthy people misbehaving in the most shameful ways imaginable.

Well Boswell's spritual allies in the House of Islam may feel that way. But the rest os the English Speaking World, latin America, Europe et. al. will viewe DH with equanimity.

That the USA gives respect to wowsers like Boswell is another matter.

She's "gone Hollywood". She used the currency of humor she knew would titilliate the lefties in the audience. She wanted to fit in with the In Crowd. Why is anyone surpised? Look at her daughters. Look at her father-in-law. She's a Bushite.

Richard Gere, Elisabeth Shue, Dennis Hopper and Jane Fonda are "Hollywood elites"?!? Please, for the sake of all that is good and right, someone tell the writer of this piece that it's no longer 1987.

Dennis Hopper is a Republican and he admitted that he voted for Reagan twice. Elizabeth Shue's brother, Andrew, is a Republican as well, so maybe it's rubbed off on her. Jane Fonda's not a member of the Hollywood elite, but the media elite via her husband, and Gere is a wannabe Bono who despite his leftist leanings, wants to have connections to both sides of the isle for his world crusade against AIDs, third world debt, ect.

Brent Bozelle is just a social learning fundamentalist, he has taken the dogma of academic atheists like Albert Bandera and Walter Mischell, and wrapped Christianity around it. If more people knew the origins of jargon like "role models" or cliches like "monkey see monkey do", then more people would jump off the quasi-Marxist social-learning-theory bandwagon.

Mrs. Bush has never actually seen the show..."

LOL! Even in their jokes the Mayberry Mafia can't tell fact from fiction.
