Maybe a vote button could be put on posts and if a certain number of no votes were given, then it would be deleted. You could even weigh the voting process to favor those with the oldest sign up dates.

Unfortunately, I think we need to just be watchful and hope the moderator will get here quickly. Moderators are human, too.

The many ideas I see suggested here would change the structure of FreeRepublic. It's Jim's house, he'll clean it when it needs cleaning.
