I have often wondered why a zotted post will still show up on a ping-list. It seems like a weakness in the system.I kinda like my (much more mild) zotted posts showing up in my ping lists, though, and so do those I've posted to (so they said by freepmail).
Perhaps we should have two levels of post deletion: Zot, and Delete. Zot makes the post go away in every arena, including the ping-lists. Delete just kills the public publishing but keeps the posts in the ping-lists.

I tell you, the thing that bothers me is that you can be having a perfectly lovely discussion with 50 or so of your closest friends, and then this moron comes along and takes a dump on the Living Room rug. It becomes impossible to continue the conversation at that point. The next 100 posts will be variants of "What the H@ll was
that!", and everybody forgets what they were talking about.
In that way, in impedes the operation of the forum and is a very effective device in muzzling FR. For this reason, it must be stopped.

One possibility would be to allow any user to temporarily delete any < img src=""> post via the abuse button, pending expedited review by the AM. I know that this would be an impediment on the free exchange of ideas, and people could abuse this privilege, but the cure is better than the disease, IMHO.
Also, if the AM decides that somebody has been maliciously abusing this privilege, that account could be suspended, as well.
If we all had this ability, these posts would last a matter of seconds. I have no problem punching the [ABUSE] button when something pisses me off!
