Because being Republicans, we have too temper our speech, and choose every word we say carefully or we are crucified, constantly. Dare we ever speak our mind, we are called "Haters, bigots etc". I agree with your sentiment. But they don't probably for many of the same political reasons that prevent your canucklehead conservatives from trouncing the likes of P.M. Martin, the liberals and obnoxious Francophones. Here, apart from the excuse that decorum must be maintained, the main reason is that the mainstream media are wholly on the side of the Left and wouldn't report the spanking anyhow.
