The Social Security fight will not be won or lost in congress in 2005. It will be given away in the Republican primaries in the fall of 2006. We will send the same people who are wasting the 'surplus' back to Washington to do it again.

The national RNC that backs dump trucks full of money to the doors of moderates in the primaries is only interested in increasing its majority, not effectively leading.

You will never see another successful 'Contract with America' from the party that controls the Legislative and Executive. They have stopped fighting for votes. Now they are buying them.


I think I'll take your advice and learn to drink heavily.
