Tht's one reason I wouldn't count on the MSM chastizing the Dems if they walked out of the Senate. They'd at least remind everyone that the Republicans did this too under Newt, and therefore it's not that big a deal (even perfectly legitimate--since the Republicans started it).

I thought that Newt's "shutting down the government" resulted from the House's not working out a budget that Clinton would go along with. The same thing that Reagan got blamed for year after year when his budget was declared "dead on arrival" when it reached the 'rat House of Reps.

But-that's-different is the 'rats slogan.

And we all remember what happened when the government shut down while clinton was in office. The man was forced to counsel little girls just a few years older than his daughter.
