well, VMC, (Santa Clara Valley Medical Center) is now going to take over the facility as a trauma care center. Last I heard they are working out the details and paper work to final who can do what to stop or prevent this place from closing again. Rightly so. It is all cyclone fenced still, but lit up with lights.... ;o) Didn't make sense then or ever for a medical hospital to shut down in downtown San Jose area.

I work downtown area, and cross over avoiding the remainder of the freeway and take Santa Clara to near place of work, Market and Santa Clara area. I do traffic stuff.

I'm still on FR, just kind of lurking mostly. Hubby and I get soooo busy doing stuff, can't find time to do other things, or brush thur them quickly and giddy up on the other chores... lol...

I am lurking mostly also. It may be quite awhile before there is another thread with all the interaction as the Peterson threads. Bye the way do you have any idea whatever happened to Devil_Anse or who she might have actually been? It seems strange to me that her last day on Freerepublic was the day the jury was sequestered. (wink, wink)

I have been on the Washington State board of Freerepublic keeping up with the governors trial. Also I am watching the case on the Internet since I don't have cable. I pray we prevail in getting the illegal governor out, but I don't have much hope of that.

Glad to hear that the hospital will be taken over. I hate to see empty buildings and especially hospitals.

My husband just reminded me that when my pap smears showed cancer cells, my doctor did what was called a conization of the cervix to then further determine if they actually were cancer cells. The pathology lab there at the hospital actually let him come into the lab as they took the frozen tissue and sliced it into 100s of slices and they actually showed him the cancer cells and how deep they went into the tissue.

I thought it was a good hospital back then. Not sure how it had become.
