An Alameda County judge denied bail Friday to the son of Oakland City Council President Ignacio De La Fuente, saying the rape charges he faces make him "a danger to the community and the women in the community."
As he was led back to jail, Ignacio Rafael De La Fuente Jr., 32, of Redwood City, nodded to his parents and sister after Superior Court Judge Winifred Smith made her ruling in an Oakland courtroom.
De La Fuente Jr. is due back in court May 25 to enter pleas to two counts of forcible rape for allegedly attacking a 15-year-old girl on April 16 and a 21-year-old woman on Aug. 25. He also faces enhancements accusing him of kidnapping the girl and assaulting multiple victims.
In denying De La Fuente Jr. bail, the judge said the alleged rapes occurred more than seven months apart.
"I think this kind of egregious behavior warrants that the court leaves this in a no-bail status," Smith said, calling the alleged attacks "two separate stranger rapes."
De La Fuente Jr.'s attorney, Jesse Garcia of Hayward, had urged the judge to set a reasonable bail and said his client has been cooperative and would be willing to be placed under house arrest with his parents and wear a tracking device.

I notice that the party affiliation isn't mentioned in this article.
I think we all know what THAT means. LOL.
Hang 'em High!
Funny how so many of those "women's rights" Dems turn out to be rapists.
Good for this judge, and let me ask: did Jerry Brown ever look better in his life?
