I have a subscription to Audible.com. I wish I could download more than just two per month, however. Working on my Shakespeare collection now.

There is nothing to keep one from buying the certificate and then giving the certificate to himself. I've done that in the past.

Question on the Audible.com - On the two per month downloads - Are they like rentals or they purchases. In other words do you get to keep them?

They don't have much in the way of Shakespeare in audio other than Midsummer and some sonnets but you might want to check out the Project Gutenberg Audio for freebies if the iPod can do MP3:

i had my wife sign up so i could get an extra 2 and still wind up buying an extra from time to time. i don't use it for music since i have only one ear. no mono mode. i would never have time to sit and read 4 books a month, but having this device allows it whether i am commuting or shopping or having lunch. i also use it at bedtime. i am "well read" again after the last year.
