The "trick" to bringing home some winnings is to pick your horse or horses then have someone who might be passing the local OTB spot place your bet(s).

Bet Closing Argument and Afleet Alex -- both across the board for $5 -- won a total of about $240.

I just looked at their pedigrees and went for some crosses and inbreedings (for horses) on some of my old time favorites.

I also "won" a plastic cup with "talk Derby to me! on it! Also had a racing program for today brought home to me and the price of admission ticket stub!

Needed some big time extra money for my grandson's (in the Navy) cell phone overage -- so the money will go to a good use and I need not cut him off --- YET!
