I think the argument is that DNA is too complex to have happened by chance or random occurrence.
What is the evidence of this? Individual Hydrogen atoms are extremely complex too. So lets say you assume Hydrogen atoms and protons, and quarks are designed as well -- at what point does one then believe that physical laws no longer apply and an Intelligent Designer has control over everything? Wouldn't it make sense for us measly humans to try and figure out how this stuff works instead of just throwing up our hands and giving up?

Sure physical laws exist. Sure you can try to figure out how these things work...go for it. But I'm sure you'll understand a lot more when you acknowledge and credit the creator.

Wow, you really are fighting it aren't you? Believing in God (or a supreme being) isn't giving up. Most rational and educated people in the realm of DNA studies have concluded the human design too complex for mere evolution.

Since the first man aknowledged his being, he came to wonder who made all this, what came before all the fathers and all the mothers. Isn't it a curiouse thing that the first question man has asked from the dawn of his self awareness is where did we all come from and why- and that that very same first question is still being asked today? We still don't know. And we can research and look all we want- we can even throw our hands up- but I don't think we'll ever know how this stuff works.

Why bother debating with the cleti? Collectively, these types of threads are leading to the demise of FR. Every day it seems like another long-time poster is bailing out. We literally had to cut a 'devil's deal' with these people to Bush elected; now we get to enjoy nonsense like these ID threads.

...physical laws no longer apply and an Intelligent Designer has control over everything

An Intelligent Designer has control over everything and He created the physical laws by which all things consist.

Your assbackwards statement is just another glistening gem of ignorance that typifies the evolutionary Darwinist's world view.

Who proposes giving up? And how is an argument that things follow natural laws an argument against an author of those laws?

That's a joke right ?? Atoms don't get any simpler than Hydrogen. One proton and one electron doing what they do naturally is not extremely complex.

Wouldn't it make MORE sense, to recognise that the case for intelligent creation is FAR stronger than Evolution. And then investigate what the implications of THAT are?

Wouldn't it make sense for us measly humans to try and figure out how this stuff works...

I AM TRYING... I would like to pose some questions and see if I can get some answer from the pro evolution side. PLEASE NO NAME CALLING.

Yesterday, there was a TV program on the "Jungle" that discussed this flower (some kind of orchid) that has its pollen down a very thin "tube" about 12 inches long. They said that Darwin had concluded that there must exist a moth with a probosis (Tongue) 12 inches long to be able to reach the pollen. Sure enough, Darwin was right. With a special infrared camera, pictures of this moth feeding on the flower have been taken. The pictures clearly show this incredibly long tongue on this insect who is apparently the only one able to feed on this unique flower. The camera did not capture any other feeders.
Here's some questions:
1- Why would a flower make it so difficult to reproduce itself if being more succesful at reproduction should lead to a better chance of survival?
2- If the flower depends on this moth, don't they have to "Mutate" along together? The flower making the tube longer and longer (why?)at the same time as the moth tongue gets longer?
3- There are orchids with easier to get pollen, so why go through the trouble to work on this one? The story did not say if this moth fed on other orchids.

Just trying to figure out how this stuff works.
